
“Oh no!” Alexandra cried as she noticed her puppy, Samuel, was missing. She called Detective Carlson to investigate the situation. “I’ll be right there,” he said after five minutes of listening on the phone.
Alexandra was a wealthy, rich, yet a kind and caring woman. She lived in a two-story mansion with a butler and a maid. She was not married, so Samuel kept her company.
When Carlson arrived in his blue buggy, Alexandra welcomed him in. Carlson asked her a couple questions on when she last saw Samuel. She replied, “Well, I woke up in the night and saw my butler brushing him, so he might be the one.” Let’s not jump to conclusions now,” Carlson softly scolded her.
Suddenly, he heard a soft whimper coming from the closet. “Why, Samuel was in the closet!” She thought. But when she looked inside…puppies! “Well, well. Samuel was actually a Samantha! What a surprise!” Carlson exclaimed. “How lovely!” cried Alexandra. “But where is Samuel, I mean, Samantha?” she asked. “I think I know but I’m not sure,” said Carlson.
Just then, her butler, Jackalo, came in to see what all the racket was about. “What’s going on?” he asked. “Well,” answered Carlson, “someone stole Samantha!” Puzzled, Jackalo replied, “When did Samuel become Samantha?” Alexandra showed him the four puppies. “Ooooh,” said Jackalo.
Then the maid, Amanda, came in. She asked the same question and was showed the same thing as Jackalo. Except after, Amanda said, “Well it doesn’t matter anyway, you can have a new dog. You can buy 100 dogs!”
Carlson pulled Alexandra to the side. “I know who stole your puppy now!” Carlson told her.
